Western newpapers publish cartoons showing Muhammad as a hate monger and the Muslim street goes nuts. The best response to this situation comes from Cal Thomas' Commentary on Friday, Feb. 3. Listen to it here. Cal points out that cartoons and editorials in Muslim newspapers regularly portray Jews as "money-hungry, hook-nosed, blood dripping hags." State run Muslim television continually says Jews are responsible for the world's problems and deserve to die. Do Muslims apologize for this? No. Cal seized the opportunity President Bush and other leaders should have, to tell the truth that Muslims are filled with hate because that's what their Koran teaches in hundreds of ayats (verses) like surah 60:4. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If Christians tell the truth about Islam are they guilty if Muslims react with violence? The examples of Stephen and Christ himself teach Christians are not guilty for telling the truth about Islam. The people of Nazareth tried to throw Jesus off a cliff when He told them He was the Messiah and questioned their faith in Luke 4:16-30. In the same way, the Jews reacted with violence to Stephen because they could not withstand God's truth in Acts 6 and 7. Are Christians guilty if non-Muslims who learn the truth about Islam use violence to protect themselves from Muslims? The great Christian thinker Samuel Rutherford showed in his book "Lex Rex" that it is lawful to repel violence by violence, and that this is a duty of government. Christian thinker John Locke explained that those who would take your property or your life - as Koran teaches Muslims to do to non-Muslims - declare themselves to be in a state of war with you. The right and duty to protect citizens belongs - in the first instance - to the citizens themselves, it is only delegated to government. If government fails to perform this duty, it is not sinful for citizens to protect themselves, by violence if necessary. Ignoring the rules of Christianity, it is irrational to tolerate the presence in our nation of people who follow Koran's murderous teachings. At any moment, a "peaceful" Muslim might begin to read and believe Koran and become violent. The London bombers, remember, were second generation British citizens. Because God is a God of reason, all things which are irrational are also sinful. If Americans were true Christians, we would follow 2 John 1:10 and not let these people who teach the doctrine of antichrist - denying Jesus - into our national house. We would enforce 18 U.S.C. section 241 - quoted below - which makes Islam a criminal conspiracy. But God has appointed this time - when most Americans do not obey God or hear His Word - to bring Muslims into our nation. All that we who are faithful to God can do is obey Christ's commandment in Mt. 28:19 to make disciples of all nations. This requires us to speak, and to tell Muslims the truth, because we are not saved if we do not confess Jesus as Lord with our mouths. Rom. 10:10. Since God commands us to speak, we cannot be guilty for telling the truth, regardless of how those who hear respond. |
