The Real Danger is "Peaceful" Jihad |
|||
|
The purpose of Jihad is to contain, subjugate, or eliminate other religions, as this verse from Koran makes clear:
Machiavelli observed that men fight in two ways, by force and by law. In the past, Muslims could only use force to conquer non-Muslim lands. Three factors prevented them from using a nation's own law to make Islam supreme: 1) Logistics - it was costly and difficult to infiltrate a large number of Muslims into a target nation. Cheap travel in the last 50 years has overcome this problem. All of this has changed now, and Muslims who want to follow Koran's command to make Islam dominant know that it is possible to conduct a "peaceful" jihad - to fight with law, not force - for the first time in history. The Barnabas Fund recently published a shocking report on the state of peaceful jihad in Europe. The strategy of "peaceful" jihad has three prongs: 1) Reproduction - as Muslims become more numerous in a nation they naturally become a more powerful political force. They can more easily elect lawmakers and influence legislation. As early as 1998, National Defense University taught that Muslim population growth in Europe far exceeded the growth of indigenous Europeans. The native European population is actually shrinking. Peaceful Jihad - fighting by law - is the real danger Islam poses because our "rights" as Americans are simply conduct the law will protect. If Muslims can change our law they can take away our rights. If that sounds far-fetched, remember, liberals in Congress and the courts have been doing that for years! Here's an example of what Muslims will do if they get strong enough. Koran teaches that non-Muslims must pay tribute money - "jizya" - to Muslims in order to have any rights in Muslims society:
The U.S. fought the first foreign war in its history - the Barbary Pirate War - over this verse. The Muslim potentates of North Africa claimed the Mediterranean Sea was Muslim territory. They required non-Muslims - the U.S. and Europeans - to pay tribute money in order to have navigation rights - the right to sail a ship - on the Mediterranean. President John Adams paid the Jizya during his administration, but Thomas Jefferson refused and went to war. I went to school at the Naval Academy where two of our prominent buildings are named for the heroes of that war, Commodore Preble and Lt. Stephen Decatur. That's also where the Marines earned the name "leathernecks". They wore leather collars to prevent being beheaded by Muslim swords. The "shores of Tripoli" in the Marine's Hymn also refers to this fight over paying tribute to Muslims. When Muslims are strong enough, they will destroy the equality of men our Declaration of Independence claims and impose the Jizya on non-Muslims. Islam contains an entire system of laws for dealing with non-Muslims. These laws are called "dhimmi laws" and they date from the Charter of Omar in 634, when Islam first began its quest for world domination. Under the dhimmi laws, non-Muslims are barred from sharing their faith or even repairing their churches and synagogues. Non-Muslims may also be put to death on just the allegation that they offended Islam. We have three weapons to use to limit the influence of Islam upon our people, and therefore upon our law: 1) Islam is illegal under U.S. law - 18 USC s.241 (quoted at the bottom of our homepage) makes it a criminal conspiracy to deprive Americans of rights guaranteed by the Constitution and federal law. Since Koran teaches that non-Muslims may be killed, enslaved, and have their property confiscated, Islam as taught in Koran is a criminal conspiracy. Unfortunately, it will probably be impossible to protect ourselves with 18 USC 241 in present-day America. This is because the very concept that people's actions might be motivated by their deeply held religious beliefs is foreign and laughable - if not downright revolting - to most Americans. The explanations for Islamic terrorism offered by secular sources always involve convoluted political goals or social factors. The secular mind simply cannot accept the idea that people might kill themselves and others because they believe that is the way to get to heaven. That brings us to the 2nd and 3rd weapons, which are the most powerful: 2) The Bible - the only way to stop jihad - peaceful or violent - is to persuade Muslims that the true way to heaven is to accept God's free gift of eternal life through our Lord Jesus' death on the cross. The only way to wake up our fellow Americans to the danger posed by jihad is also to bring them to a relationship with the true God through Jesus and the Bible. The real danger of Islam comes from the fact that legal rules, social institutions - everything from markets to government - and whether a nation is rich or poor are all determined by what a nation's citizens think is right or wrong. If most Americans accept or acquiesce to the moral beliefs of Islam we can kiss the freedom and prosperity created by our Judeo-Christian heritage good bye. |

Dawood's translation was the first to use contemporary Englsh. It was first published in the 1950s, before the modern era of fundamentalism. I've heard reports that Muslims have been revising English Korans to remove or soften the hundreds of verses that teach violent jihad. This edition does not have those inaccuracies. Witnessing to Muslims:
This remarkable book explains in a scholarly way why the Koran contains many things in common with the Bible but gets things so wrong. Haqq was a second generation Christian who worked for Billy Graham. Haqq shows how Koran supports the deity of Christ in verses Muslims have never been able to explain away. |
