The True Nature of Islam |
Alternative View on Islam - a links page listing many sites that expose what Islam is really all about. Four part briefing on Koran - a briefing prepared by attorney Paul Tetreault for Dr. Walter E. Williams, former Chairman of the Economics Department at George Mason University shortly after 9/11/2001. HinduUnity.org - Muslims have killed more Hindus than Jews, and this site contains backgound info on Islam and reports on Muslim terrorism in the Hindu world that does not get reported on U.S. cable news networks. Very informative. Islam Review - a site maintained by Muslims who have converted to Christianity and Christians of Middle East descent. The purpose of the site is to explain the true teachings of Islam, help folks understand why Muslims commit terrorism, and explain what the U.S. would be like if it was ruled by Islam. Searchable Koran - at the University of Southern California. Koran is the "bible" of Islam, Muslims believe it to be the "very words of god". This link present three parallel English translations, but the easiest Koran to read for contemporary English speakers is the translation by N.J. Dawood that we link you to at right. Searchable Hadith - Hadith is an Arabic word meaning "tradition." Hadith contains the "sunnah" of Muhammad, anecdotes about his actions and sayings. Koran teaches that Muhammad's life is the example Muslims should follow, accordingly, the Hadith both helps explain the meaning of verses in Koran and how Muslims should live. This link presents several versions of Hadith compiled by different individuals. The Hadith in Sahih Bukhari is the most widely accepted in the Islamic world. The Blight of Asia - Orthodox Christians trapped in lands conquered by Muslims since the 7th century have experienced the barbarism of true Islam first hand. This link is to a book written by George Horton, the U.S. Consul General in Smyrna, Turkey in the early 20th century. The book is subtitled "An Accourt of the Systematic Extermination of Christian Populations by Mohammedans" and contains Horton's eye-witness testimony about how Muslims carry out Koran's commands to conduct Jihad against non-Muslims. |

America's Judeo-Christian Founding Principles |
Programmed Text on the Declaration of Independence - a programmed text walks you through concepts step by step. This 8 page course explains how our Founding Fathers staked America's claim to freedom on the same principles on which English law and liberty were based, the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." The text presents excerpts from Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England to show this phrase means the Judeo-Christian rules of the Bible and explains briefly how these rules work to produce freedom. Religion and the Founding of the American Republic - online exhibit at the Library of Congress. There is a popular notion amongst academic elites today that anyone who takes his religion seriously lacks the rationality required to undertake complex projects, from terrorist attacks to founding a nation. The LOC exhibit debunks this notion by showing that Christian doctrine was at the heart of the American revolution and America's founding principles. Wallbuilders - Wallbuilders is a private, for-profit firm that possesses what is probably the largest collection of the actual writings of America's Founding Fathers outside of the Library of Congress. Using these primary sources, Wallbuilders produces a wide variety of resources to help Americans learn the true ideas on which our nation is founded. Wallbuilders' materials show irrefutably that much modern scholarship in the fields of law, economics, history, and political science is simply garbage that cannot be reconciled with what the Founding Fathers actually said and did. America's Founding Principles - a one-pager that shows how Judeo-Christian moral principles produce freedom and prosperity. The moral principles are in blue panels, citations to America's founding documents and other authorities are in white panels. Discourses Concerning Government - Algernon Sidney's classic text on government. Discourses, along with John Locke's Second Treatise on Government, are the two books that Thomas Jefferson mandated must be taught in Political Science classes at the University of Virginia, which he founded. Second Treatise on Government - John Locke. The Second Treatise, along with Algernon Sidney's Discourses Concerning Government, are the two books that Thomas Jefferson mandated must be taught in Political Science classes at the University of Virginia, which he founded. The Principles of Natural and Politic Law - Written by Swiss attorney Jean Jacques Burlamaqui in 1750 is the most comprehensive articulation of both what natural law is and how it applies to limit government. Burlamaqui's book is the source of the "Right to the Pursuit of Happiness" - Burlamaqui's explanation was summarized by Sir William Blackstone in his Commentaries on the Laws of England and included by Jefferson in the U.S. Declaration of Independence. It is not, as PBS has asserted, a "meaningless rhetorical flourish" but stands for the idea that God has made us in such a way that we cannot be truly happly except by following God's moral rules. As a political right, the right to the pursuit of happiness means the right to be free from a government that commands, or even allows, what God forbids, or that forbids what God commands or what God allows. Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England - an excerpt from the chapter entitled "Of the Nature of Laws in General" which is both a concise summary of the basis of English law and liberty and the portion of the commentaries from which Jefferson took the arguments made in the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence. Published from 1765-1769, Blackstone's Commentaries were called "virtually the only law book in the colonies" at the time of the Declaration by legal historian Lawrence Friedman. Blackstone restates much of the foundation laid by Locke, Burlamaqui, and Sidney. |

Approach Muslims with Love |
Koran tells Muslims that the Old and New Testaments of the Bible (in Arabic, the Torah and Injil) were sent down to give men knowledge of right and wrong and contain guidance and light. Because Koran urges Muslims to read Torah and Injil for themselves, rather than rely on what Jews and Christians say they contain, it is normally easy to get Muslims to read Bible verses with you or to accept a gift Bible, especially if you have a hard copy of Koran and approach them by showing them the relevant ayats (verses) in Koran first. The Holy Spirit works through the Word, of course, so the Bible alone is the most effective missionary. Muslims who read both the Bible and Koran will quickly realize that the two contain very different descriptions of the nature of God, the means of salvation, and the moral rules humans should follow. What they do in the face of that realization is a moral choice they alone can make. Faith Defenders - The ministry of Dr. Bob Morey, author of the prescient book, Islamic Invasion. Faith Defenders helps Christians define, document, and defend faith in Jesus. Through the Bible Foreign Broadcasts - Through the Bible is the ministry of J. Vernon McGee that takes radio listeners through the entire Bible in 5 years. The foreign language broadcasts do the same but are produced by nationals who are sensitive to the culture and concerns of new and non-Christian natives of the targeted language groups. Broadcasts change daily and can be heard over the internet as well as being radio broadcast within the language regions. Foreign Language Bibles - the International Bible Society has bible texts available online in a variety of languages, including Arabic, Farsi, and many others. The Bible and Islam: Sharing God's Word with a Muslim - this book is available to read or print online. Books by John Gilchrist - a number of texts available to read or print online that deal with witnessing to Muslims, at Answering Islam Middle East Resources - a site dedicated to the Christian response to the global challenge of Islam. The Good News - Can a person have assurance of eternal life? What does the Bible say about Jesus? Christian Missions to Islam - This is the "links" page at Arabic Bible Outreach.
